Stay
Approached by a winding, private drive which leads to a gravel turning circle to the front of the house, the spectacular landscaped gardens are surrounded by rolling, green fields.
Start your day with a coffee on the substantial terrace, a glorious setting for al fresco dining morning, noon and night. In the evening, take your drinks to the summer house and watch the kids potter about on the croquet lawn, or play amongst the rhododendrons and trees in the orchard. There is ample off-road private parking, and the village is within walking distance which includes shops, pubs and restaurants.
Dining in
Cooking is easy in this massive, modernised kitchen though you may be tempted to call in one of our local recommended chefs for that luxurious private dining experience.

Gather for meals in the dining room (seating up to 16 adults), where patio doors lead directly out to the wonderful, landscaped gardens for after dinner drinks. At the end of the day, return to warm your toes against the AGA, before enjoying some friendly competition with your fellow guests.

Relax
Open fires in the reception hall, games room and lounge gives ample space for everyone to grab a seat in front of the crackling flames should the weather decide.

Alternatively find some space away from the bustle with additional sitting areas on both of the upper floors or catch up on your TV in your bedroom.
The more competitive among you may retire to the games room where a 7ft American pool table, dart board, table tennis and a host of board games await a champion to emerge.
Dream
A successful blend of tradition and quirk has been created in the bedrooms, with patterned wallpaper and soft furnishings a backdrop to vintage furniture.
Seven of the bedrooms boast TVs, ideal for a bit of privacy on lazy mornings and cosy evenings, and all eight bedrooms having en-suite shower/bathrooms makes life easy for large, mixed-age family groups.
The bathrooms retain the same character, with a long soak in the freestanding bath a daily event that should not be missed.
